PAINT & POUR
Our Paint & Pour fundraiser to help support field day activities is happening this week on Thursday, March 19th. Paint N Pour is located on Moody Street here in Waltham with our event scheduled to take place from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Everyone will be painting the "Red Sailboat" painting pictured in the registration link. The cost per painter is $35, and Paint N Pour will generously donate 25% of registration fees towards our Field Day efforts. We need a minimum of 20 registrants by Tuesday in order for the event to occur, and currently have 12 signed up. Registration can be done HERE. The password to register is 'Stanley'. Space is limited so sign up soon! We hope you will join us for a fun night out!
We wanted to remind everyone that our monthly cart card order is due this week on Wednesday, March 18th. Order forms were sent home with students last week. Feel free to spread the word to family & friends in order to see if we can make even more money before the school year ends. We have currently raised $2,162 this year! We are very happy with that amount, but would love to raise another $838 to bring us to $3,000. If you have any questions about ordering, please contact Laura Ramsey at email@example.com or Cindi Bourque at CindiBourque@k12.waltham.ma.us.
5th GRADE CELEBRATION
With the month of March now half way over, the end of our school year will be fast approaching. That means that a group of our children are getting ready to leave Stanley so they can move on to McDevitt. To celebrate that milestone, a celebration is held for them every school year in June. In order to help support this years 5th grade celebration, parent have put together an event to be held at Launch Trampoline Park located at 625 Pleasant Street in Watertown, MA on Thursday, April 2nd from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. If Stanley gets at least 25 kids signed up to jump, 25% of proceeds will go towards this years celebration. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Krissy Scheufele at KristineScheufele@k12.waltham.ma.us.
The PTO recently received a request for help from a group of students at Brandeis University that are participating in Senior Sociology Capstone seminar. This is the message that was received:
"We, students in the Senior Sociology Capstone seminar, in conjunction with the Department of Community Service at Brandeis University, are conducting research to learn about Waltham parents' perceptions of community service at Brandeis University. Your responses allow us to learn about what you think of community service programs at Brandeis and how they can be improved. All of the survey responses will be completely confidential. Please complete the survey no later than March 27th."
If you're interested in helping them out with this survey, please click HERE to complete the online survey. Also feel free to contact Professor Karen Hanson at firstname.lastname@example.org or 781-736-2651 if you have any questions.
