Our Halloween party is attended by a large portion of the Stanley community, so a lot of help is always needed. If you're interested in helping out, plese take a look at the sign-up genius HERE that was created to see what activities we are in need of help with, and at what times you would be needed. If you have any questions about the Halloween Party or volunteering to help out, please contact Michele atMKosboth@lasell.edu. Thank you in advance for all of your help in making this years Halloween party a success!!
Student Activity Council
Did you know that Stanley has a Student Activity Council? The student council's mission is to foster school spirit and encourage community service. Council members consist of thirteen 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students, as well as 3 staff advisors.
With October being both Breast Cancer Awareness and Bully Prevention Month, our student council has some activities and fundraising planned for Stanley. Thursday, October 30th is going to be pink & white day at Stanley - so be sure to encourage your child(ren) to wear these colors on the 30th. During next week, there will also be a jug placed outside of the main office for anyone to drop in donations. If you would like to help out the student council with their fundraising, you can also do so online HERE.
For Bully Prevention Month, the student council will be talking about the Buddy Bench that has now been installed on the Stanley playground. Please be sure to stop by and check it out! If you would like to find out more about what the Buddy Bench is, please check out their website HERE.
Kaytie Dowcett, one of our Waltham School Committee members, recently sent information to the PTO regarding how the community can participate in the search for a new superintendent and asked that we pass it along to the Stanley community. They are hoping to get as much community input as possible. People have an opportunity to attend focus groups and/or fill out an online survey. The survey is available in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole and there will be focus groups in each language as well. Click HERE for more information.
