Announcements
- There is no school tomorrow, November 11 in observance of Veteran's Day.
- The deadline to purchase tickets for the Simon Mall Evening of Giving is this Friday, November 14. We must have your order with payment in hand by then. Don't miss out on the great deals and door prizes, including DOUBLE STAMPS AT THE LEGO STORE! This year's event will take place on November 23rd from 7-10 pm at all participating Simon Malls. If you would like to purchase your $10 tickets, simply send in your order with payment (cash or checks payable to Stanley PTO) in a marked envelope. 100% of ticket sales go to charity, 70% to the Stanley School! Contact Lauren Doherty if you would like to help sell tickets or if you have questions.
- The Holiday Bazaar is just around the corner during the week of December 1-5! WE NEED LOTS OF VOLUNTEERS!!! Contact Christine Power if you can help out - even an hour or two makes a BIG difference!
- The next Stanley Shopping Cart orders are due on November 15th at midnight! Two-day turn-around on orders for cards we carry in our inventory!
- We had some people ask for it, so we found a way to offer Sally Foster products to those who enjoy their gift wraps and other items! See the Holiday Homepage for more details!
- The YMCA is very close to adding before-school childcare services. There are nearly enough interested families, but they are still looking for a few more students before they will start up a program. If you would be interested in before-school care for your child, please contact Becky Bleeker at (781) 894-5295, rbleeker@ymcaboston.org.
SEE THE HOLIDAY HOMEPAGE FOR DETAILS ON ALL THAT IS GOING ON AT THIS VERY BUSY TIME OF YEAR!
Congratulations!
- Heather Higgins, a fifth grader in Mrs. McQuiggan's class, won a second place prize in the Historic Waltham Essay Contest! GREAT JOB!
Reminders
- If you are driving your child to school, please do not drive onto school property during arrival and dismissal. The new procedure for drop-off and pick-up utilizes the Nipper-Maher parking lot, which is accessed via Dartmouth Street, Shakespeare Road or Wheelock Road. After parking there, you may walk with your child onto school property, or walk your child to the corner of Wheelock and South to be crossed to school property by the crossing guard. PLEASE USE CAUTION AND DRIVE SLOWLY THROUGH THE NIPPER LOT AS THERE ARE MANY WALKERS WHO UTILIZE THE LOT TO WALK TO SCHOOL!
- Box Tops, Shaw's and Staples receipts and ink jet cartridges can be sent in with your child or dropped off at the main office.
Welcome to the new and improved Stanley School Web Site! Many pages are still under construction, so please be patient while we continue to round out the site. Please contact stanleywebmaster @ gmail.com if you have any comments or suggestions for ways to make this site more useful and informative.
